Good Morning, Stacy! Thank you for this beautifully hosent post! I really relate to so much of what you have written. I am not working right now, but am looking for a part time job because we really need the extra income right now. It is hard to find a job that accomodates my needs. Afterall, no one is really looking to hire someone they need to "accomodate", they want someone who can do the job. A prospective employer very seldom wants the inconvenience of working with my "best hours of opperation" ;) on any given day. I am thankful that my husband is finally starting to understand that four hours at a job for me is more physically and mentally demanding than eight hours for someone else. Anyway, God has taught me so many things through this illness. Empathy for others is a big one. Learning that I am NOT equipped to "multitask" is another. I consider that a great blessing as I watch others burn themselves out trying to have and do it all. He has taught me patience, as I need to pace myself in everything I do. I have learned organizational skills because I now have to break normal tasks into manageable portions throughout the day, and I have gained a whole community of like-minded friends online who have been blessed with the same issues as me to work through each day. I truly thank you for your blog. It has been a blessing to me and helps me to look for the blessings in each day and to recognize and avoid the pity party that is always waiting just around the bend. ;) May God fully bless you and your readers this day! ~Colleen~
